McIvor Times - - NEWS -

A FREE community concert is one of the highlights of this weekend’s Sanguine Estate Music Festival.

Chris Howlett, Tobias Breider, Holy Piccoli and Andew Haveron will take to the stage in St John’s Anglican Church at 9.30am Saturday to perform Glazunov’s Five Novelettes for String Quartet op.15.

The music festival has become an outstanding success with both 2015 and 2016 selling out well in advance.

Last year the festival expanded with further concerts in Bendigo.

Festival director Chris Howlett said the 2016 Bendigo weekend was a triumph.

‘‘We doubled our numbers from last year, it was fantastic,’’ he said.

‘‘With Ulumbarra as well as the Capital on board we can continue to build on our success.

‘‘Heathcote is sold out and there is a waiting list.’’
