Vet’s ser­vice on board

RON Shep­pard’s name is now where it be­longs.

Miss­ing from the hon­our board at the Heath­cote RSL for many years, his name has fi­nally been en­graved into the wooden board.

Mr Shep­pard served with the navy in Viet­nam and joins other Heath­cote ser­vice men and women on the RSL hon­our board.

‘‘We con­grat­u­late Ron on his ser­vice and as an RSL we are deeply sorry to Ron and his fam­ily for this mis­take,’’ Heath­cote RSL’s Alan Hough said.

‘‘It was sim­ply an over­sight and we are glad to have his name up there. We also thank Ian El­lis from Max El­lis Signs Bendigo for com­ing out and en­grav­ing Ron’s name.’’
