Fol­low in Lavinia’s foot­steps

MANDALAY Re­sources are once again of­fer­ing their Age Graded Gold Prize at this April’s O’Keefe Chal­lenge, giv­ing a marathon run­ner the op­por­tu­nity to rep­re­sent Aus­tralia at the Wen­lock Olympian Games in 2019.

The prize con­sists of re­turn tick­ets and ac­com­mo­da­tion for two and is val­ued over $5,000. This is one of the big­gest prizes for a trail run in Aus­tralia.

Last year’s win­ner was 74-year-old world cham­pion Lavinia Petrie.

Lavinia will be rep­re­sent­ing Aus­tralia at the Wen­lock Olympian Games in July this year and be­lieves she has a good chance of bring­ing home the tro­phy.
