THE City of Greater Bendigo is calling for expressions of interest from clubs, groups and organisations interested in holding an event as part of the 2018 Bendigo Seniors Festival, which takes place from Sunday, October 7-14.

City of Greater Bendigo community wellbeing manager Chris Kelly said the Bendigo festival is part of the Victorian Seniors Festival, which commenced in 1982 and is one of the state’s more enduring festivals.

“The Bendigo Seniors Festival offers a range of free and low-cost events and activities for older residents and we are looking for groups who would like to hold an event as part of the festival to showcase their organisation and provide entertainment for our older residents,” Ms Kelly said.

“Groups and organisations can hold open and come-and-try days, displays, exercise programs, in fact any activity or entertainment that senior members of the community may enjoy.

“All events will be listed and promoted in the annual festival program booklet.

“This year the festival theme is ‘get social’ and we would love to include as many activities as possible on the program.”

If your group or organisation would like to hold an event please contact Katherine deBattista on 5434 6195 or email
