Cre­ate your own in­stant Greek res­tau­rant in your home with this easy-to-fol­low cook book from Chan­nel Seven’s My Kitchen Rules favourite twins. From dol­mades to mar­i­nated olives and mous­saka, He­lena and Vikki Moursel­las’ Tak­ing You Home is loaded with au­then­tic Greek cui­sine that will trans­port your senses to yia yia’s kitchen. The best part — you don’t have to have the skills of a chef to recre­ate these dishes. The zuc­chini chips, radish and white bean salad and the roasted beet­root dip were my favourite recipes in the book, which I par­tic­u­larly loved be­cause you only need sim­ple in­gre­di­ents to make them.

One thing I did miss was the prepa­ra­tion and cook­ing times from the recipes. Not know­ing how long some­thing is go­ing to take to cook is a bit of a deal breaker, and it did put me off throw­ing the apron on. How­ever, the twins’ story and per­sonal photos wo­ven through­out, plus the fact there is a dish for ev­ery oc­ca­sion, made this book a won­der­ful read and a sta­ple for any kitchen.
