MAJOR Crime detectives have renewed appeals for any information about the murder of Melville grandmother Valeria Fermendjin. Mrs Fermendjin was killed in her Leach Highway home between 7.20am and 8.30am on Tuesday, January 5, last year. Police still hope to speak to a couple (pictured) believed to have walked past the 70-year-old's home around the time it is believed she died. They are also asking a male caller who contacted Crime Stoppers anonymously on March 13, about 12.40pm, to get back in touch with police after providing information that proved helpful to detectives. Another caller who contacted Crime Stoppers soon after the murder on January 13 last year is also asked to get back in touch with police.
