TEENS SEEK HELP TO RAISE $2500 FOR TELETHON
A TEAM of teens who held a 24hour cricket challenge to raise money for Telethon need a little help to push them to their $2500 target.
Bateman resident Lachlan MacKenzie (16) and three of his friends took turns batting for an hour each between 5pm, September 23, and 5pm, September 24.
It was the second year the four Wesley College Year 11 students have held the challenge at Leeming’s Striker Indoor Sports and Fitness.
In 2016 they raised $2000 and this year they require another $700 to reach their $2500 goal.
Bateman MLA and former Wesley College alumni Dean Nalder threw his support behind the boys by visiting them while the challenge was on.
