APPLECROSS resident Kadambot Siddique has been recognised for his global contribution to dryland agriculture.
Professor Siddique, director of UWA’s Institute of Agriculture, received the Global Research Leadership in Agriculture award at the 10th Global Agriculture Leadership Summit in New Delhi in India in September.
It was an acknowledgment of his contribution to increasing crop yields in non-irrigated environments and the development of production technologies that will help future-proof food sources in these conditions.
Professor Siddique has 30 years of experience in agricultural research, teaching and management in both Australia and overseas.
