Clas­sic tunes at the Basil­ica

A TAL­ENTED mu­si­cal duo from Perth will play at Fre­man­tle’s St Pa­trick’s Basil­ica on Novem­ber 19.

Bea­cons­field’s Brent Grapes, prin­ci­pal trum­peter with the West Aus­tralian Sym­phony Or­ches­tra, will join Palmyra or­gan­ist Do­minic Perissinotto for a con­cert in­spired by Marc Cha­gall’s stained glass win­dows in Is­rael.

The pair has promised au­di­ences will be wowed by their ef­forts con­trast­ing fa­mil­iar com­posers Jeremiah Clarke and JS Bach with the de­scrip­tive mu­sic of Alan Hovhaness, Petr Eben and Franz Liszt. The con­cert is the fi­nal in a se­ries of four for Pipe Or­gan Plus in 2017.
