APPLECROSS resident Elizabeth Green was being asked for so much parenting advice, she knew it was time to write a book.

The result was Parenting is Forever: A paediatrician’s tips for parents, teachers and carers.

Dr Green said in the book she shares her knowledge of children and their physical, social, emotional and academic development. She said it reflected the ongoing conversations of a paediatrician with those who cared for children, and was influenced by her own experience as a parent and from helping thousands of families over a 25-year career.

“I was being asked a lot of questions and I thought it is time to write a book,” she said.

Dr Green said she wrote it from the perspective of someone experienced in childhood development but not from someone who was a parenting expert.

“It’s written with the reassurance you don’t have to be the perfect parent,” she said.

For information visit Dr Elizabeth Green has written a new book on parenting.
