FEWER ON MILLION MEDIAN
THERE were 633 suburbs in Australia with a median price over $1 million in the 12 months to July, CoreLogic data reveals.
Most were in New South Wales (415), while WA had 30 suburbs where the median price exceeded seven figures.
This number has fallen since July 2016, when WA had 33 suburbs on the list.
Ardross, Banjup, Crawley, Daglish, Menora and Mt Lawley had their median house price fall below $1 million during the period, while increases in the median price in Coolbinia, Gracetown and South Fremantle helped these suburbs in grabbing a place on this year’s list.
It is no surprise most of the WA suburbs were along the river or coast, but some innercity areas made the list, while Yallingup joined Gracetown to represent the South-West.
