Jailed for drug of­fences

A MAN has been sen­tenced to one month in jail for a va­ri­ety of drug pos­ses­sion and coun­ter­feit money of­fences.

Wil­liam Wor­rell pleaded guilty to possess­ing cannabis, possess­ing methy­lam­phetamine, possess­ing a con­trolled weapon, at­tempt­ing to ob­tain a pro­hib­ited drug, possess­ing drug para­pher­na­lia and know­ingly possess­ing coun­ter­feit money at Fre­man­tle Mag­is­trates court.

Po­lice dis­cov­ered 40 pills in his home thought to be MDMA or ec­stasy on Novem­ber 1, 2017.

Po­lice also found pep­per spray, $300 in coun­ter­feit notes, 28 grams of cannabis, one gram of meth and other drug para­pher­na­lia.

Wor­rell is cur­rently in pri­son serv­ing an 18month sen­tence. His most re­cent sen­tence will be served con­cur­rently. He will be el­i­gi­ble for pa­role in nine months.
