WIVENHOE SHOWGROUNDS, BURNIE, TODAY, 8AM-NOON The Burnie markets famously hold the title of Tassie’s first farmers’ market, which was established in 2002 by the Burnie Show society. One staple market stallholder is Tasmanian Buffalo with its offering of grass-fed Asian water buffalo meat, bred near Preston. Take the time to chat with the farmers who grow your vegies or pull up a chair at the outdoor bar to people watch. Held the first and third Saturday of the month.
