Bianca Lakic used to own a BMW X5 and when it came time to trade it in she was tempted by offerings from both Lexus and Range Rover.

In the end though she opted for a Honda CRV because of the Japanese maker’s reputation for quality and reliability. “I do a lot of driving for work and ultimately I wanted something that wasn’t going to break down,” she says.

The X5 had reliability problems as it got older and the family had owned Hondas and “never had issues”. In the end, a fancy badge was less important than the Honda’s five-year warranty. She also likes that she can park the CR-V in the city and worry about it being damaged.

“It’s got all the latest gadgets. The stereo is great and so is the Bluetooth. It drives smoothly and is good on fuel,” she says.
