Buyers squeezed

APARTMENT buyers are taking longer to settle and paying with more cash because of the measures to cap investment property lending, Lendlease says. The developer says customers are taking longer to complete settlements. “We are working with buyers who need more time for settlement,” chief financial officer Tarun Gupta said yesterday. “We are also seeing increased use of nonbanking sources of finance.”
