Bushfire worries

Mercury (Hobart) - - YOURVOICE - Robin Costain South Arm Bruce Norman Brighton Andrew John Clark Kettering

INTERESTING to see the two North-East councils are worried about the bushfire season due to the lack of fuel reduction burning and track, road and firebreak maintenance being undertaken in their forest areas taken over by Parks and Wildlife. Would not be surprised if other councils that once had coverage and protection from the timber industry are having the same worries about wildfire this season.

Good one, Bill

SARCASTIC Bill. I think it was Winston Churchill who said “Sarcasm is the wit of a fool”. Virtually every time Shorten open his mouth the sarcasm flows from it faster than the water goes over Niagara Falls. Enough said.

You’ll have to do better

FEDERAL police — if that’s the best Bill Shorten can offer Tasmanians if he and Labor are elected at the next election, heaven help Tasmania. The worst thing about his promise is that it been headlines on the radio news all day.
