Six injured in Russian strike
A US-backed force in Syria says a Russian air strike wounded six of its fighters near the eastern city of Deir ez-Zor. Syrian troops and their Iran-backed allies have begun a new offensive aiming to capture southeast border areas under the cover of Russian air strikes. Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces command said the air raid occurred on the eastern side of the Euphrates River in an area liberated from Islamic State. The US said Russian forces caused injuries to USled coalition partner forces.
