BACK WITH A BANG IN CUP FIXTURES

-

TASMANIA welcomes back competitive football today with the Lakoseljac Cup and Women’s Statewide Cup round-of-16 fixtures marking the end of a 17-week wait.

Ahead of his side’s clash with the Kingborough Lions today, Clarence Zebras coach David Smith said his team may not be at their usual standard, but they’re excited to be back. “It’s really great to be playing again,” Smith said. “I think we’re probably going to be a fair way off the mark from where we would have been at the start of a normal season, but I think everyone is in the same boat.”

Elsewhere, Glenorchy Knights welcome Northern Rangers to KGV as they look to progress to the quarter-finals. South Hobart travels to Launceston to face Launceston United, and Summer Cup champion Olympia will welcome Beachside to Warrior Park.
