IT was a rough weekend for the Kalamunda Cougars who were winless from four games.

Defensive lapses late let the league team down and allowed Fremantle CBC to kick some easy goals, beating Kalamunda by 14 points, 9.14 (68) to 8.6 (54).

Brett Robinson was dominant through the middle and also contributed two goals.

The colts lost to a more seasoned opponent, with Kane Swithenbank best on the ground for Kalamunda, before an inconsistent reserves team lost 15.9 (99) to 3.7 (25).

At Ray Owen Reserve, The E1 league team led at half-time against last season’s premiers East Fremantle, but fell away late and went down 11.13 (79) to 7.9 (51).
