BICKLEY Seventh-day Adventist Church is running its second annual Health Expo this month.

Held at Kalamunda Agricultural Hall on Sunday, July 23, from 2pm-5pm, the event will showcase a range of lifestyle tips and tricks to improve overall health and wellbeing.

Carmel resident Sylvia Bush will run a cooking demonstration at 4.30pm on preserving the harvest.

“I have always had a love of the land and part of that is knowing where the food I eat is coming from,” she said.

“I grew up on a sheep farm ... so a lot of my knowledge on preserving was passed down from my mother.”

There will be other demonstrations, such as how to grow micro-greens and how to sprout.

People can get a free health-age assessment, health and lifestyle books, free neck and back massages and discover natural remedies for coughs, colds and headaches.

The event costs a gold coin donation. Call event co-ordinator Jo Laing on 0412 400 494.
