Growing with community
MORE than 100 babies, along with their extended families attended the 29th annual Commemorative Planting Ceremony for new babies born in City of Kalamunda.
Mayor Andrew Waddell said the annual ceremony was held each winter in late July and a wonderful way to celebrate the birth of a newborn community member.
“Families were invited to take part in the community planting to help revegetate and beautify their local park with their child, which they can visit,” he said.
“Staff had a delightful time meeting all the babies and everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy getting out in nature and meeting other families.”
