Midland Reporter - - Opinion - COLIN COULTHARD, Gooseberry Hill

I WAS pleased to read in the article “Vocal about voting”, (Reporter August 15), that the City of Kalamunda is a partner in the Get Local, Get Vocal campaign designed to encourage residents and ratepayers to get involved in their council elections.

This represents an ideal opportunity to get rid of Shire President (oops, Mayor) Andrew Waddell, who went ahead with the scheme to have Kalamunda’s classification changed from “Shire” to “City” despite opposition demonstrated in the council’s own 2015 survey, public meetings and in letters to the press.

I heartily recommend that all residents and ratepayers Get Local, Get Vocal and remove Mr Waddell and his supporters at the next council elections.
