BATTISTESSA Stu­dio will hold Alchemy and the Magic of Char­coal as part of En­twined in the Val­ley this week.

The event will show­case Swan Val­ley wine, food, art and mu­sic in the one event, with food cooked by lo­cal chef Vin­cenzo Vel­letri us­ing grapevine char­coal from the re­gion.

Artist and owner of Battistessa Stu­dio, An­to­nio Battistessa said the event was about peo­ple com­ing to­gether and en­joy­ing the re­gion and the pro­duce on of­fer.

He said the food would be slow cooked us­ing char­coal from lo­cal grapevines, which cre­ated a stun­ning mix of flavours. “The val­ley is a beau­ti­ful place and full of magic,” he said.

“There’s noth­ing bet­ter than hav­ing a good day with peo­ple you love and meet­ing new peo­ple, while en­joy­ing some of the best food and wine the re­gion has to of­fer.”

Battistessa will open up his stu­dio for guests to look through, with a live forg­ing dis­play from black­smith artists - as well as lo­cal en­ter­tain­ment.

Alchemy and the Magic of Char­coal will kick off from 4.30pm on Sun­day.
