Vandals hit park

Midland Reporter - - #snapperth -

THE City of Kalamunda is calling on the community to report suspicious behaviour to police after vandals damaged sprinklers and solar lights last month at a park in Jacaranda Springs.

Chief executive Rhonda Hardy said graffiti had also been found at nearby locations.

“The City has undertaken a significant upgrade of the park, which has been well received by most of the community. Unfortunately a couple of individuals have taken it upon themselves to damage the new infrastructure,” she said.

“Such senseless vandalism is costly to the City and its ratepayers.

“We encourage anyone who witnesses vandalism at any City locations to contact WA Police on 131 444.”

Repair works were held as matter of priority.

The upgrade of the site in High Wycombe was completed in August 2017 for $350,000.
