FIVE generations of Lina Sharp’s family came together to celebrate her 103rd birthday in Mundaring. Classical piano music, cake and about 130 descendants made the occasion special with staff at Baptistcare Yallambee Residential Care. Lina is the oldest resident at the care facility. Yallambee lifestyle co-ordinator Aureen Donaldson said the great-great-great-grandmother, former ballroom dancer and champion high diver was a popular community member. “Lina is a vibrant and positive lady who at 103 is still active, beautifully dressed, groomed and witty,” she said. The centenarian shared her recent birthday with fellow resident June Howell, who turned 90 on the same day.
