Midland Reporter - - News -

SENIORS in the City of Swan will have access to a 245-unit aged care precinct in Ballajura. The first stage of development is set to start next year. The City signed off on a contract with aged care group Southern Cross Care for the development on a 4.4 ha site in Paradise Quays. The proposed precinct includes 120 aged care units, 70 independent living units and 34 dementia care rooms. This development was expected to improve the shortage of aged care facilities in the City, where 918 extra aged care beds and 1300 more retirement villages are expected to be needed by 2036.
