Learn draw­ing, paint­ing skills

Mid West and Gas­coyne res­i­dents are in­vited to a se­ries of free art work­shops hosted by an ex­pe­ri­enced WA artist.

The Act Be­long Com­mit open stu­dios are hosted by ex­hi­bi­tion vet­eran Di Tay­lor and will ex­plore ba­sic to ad­vanced draw­ing skills and paint­ing tech­niques.

Health and well­be­ing of com­mu­nity mem­bers is at the fore­front of the ini­tia­tive, which aims to im­prove qual­ity of life through art, cul­ture, ed­u­ca­tion and her­itage.

At­ten­dees are in­vited to bring their own work or cre­ate a new piece to be en­tered in the 2017 North Mid­lands Agri­cul­tural So­ci­ety’s Art Show.

Work­shops: Com­mu­nity Re­source Cen­tre, Mo­rawa, on July 27; Au­tumn Cen­tre, Min­genew, on July 28; Re­cre­ation Pav­il­ion, Peren­jori, on Au­gust 1; North Mid­lands Stu­dio Space, Car­namah, on Au­gust 4.
