A North and South team were made up of 15 of the best players selected from the Mid West female football lightning carnival held in Geraldton last month.
It was a competitive game at the WA Country Builders Stadium, with the North team taking home the win with a narrow three-point lead.
Mid West female football co-ordinator Kaite McMichian said she hoped matches like this could be the start of an official women’s competition.
“The girls are getting a lot better skill-wise and hopefully we will have an actual competition through the GNFL next year,” she said.
