Odd sight for police

Midwest Times - - NEWS -

In a bizarre incident last Friday, Dongara police charged a Clarkson man aged in his 20s with various offences, after responding to reports he was jumping on the roof of his car with no pants on.

A truck driver alerted officers to the man’s strange behaviour before they intercepted him on Brand Highway about 1pm. Officers allegedly had to remove the man from the top of his car after he refused to comply with orders.

After searching his vehicle, a smoking implement was allegedly found.

Dongara police said the man, who was extremely agitated, claimed he was trying to close his bonnet.

He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of stealing in relation to a prior alleged petrol theft.

He will face court in October.
