Alleged sandwich thief will face court
A Mount Magnet man who allegedly stole a number of chicken sandwiches from a Meekatharra service station will face court later this month charged with a string of offences.
The 22-year-old faces charges relating to two other burglaries, stealing offences, and using stolen credit cards.
Police will allege he broke into the Shell Express on the Great Northern Highway in Meekatharra about 4am last Thursday.
He is also accused of breaking into a Trinfield Court property in Meekatharra the same morning, but nothing was reported stolen.
Meekatharra police will allege he broke into a Toowong Street property in Bayswater on September 19 and stole a handbag containing credit cards, which he then allegedly used to buy cigarettes.
He has also been accused of stealing from a Bassendean liquor store on two separate occasions.
Police arrested the man in Meekatharra after a tip-off from the public.
He was remanded in custody and charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of burglary, two counts of stealing, two counts of fraud, and one count of burglary with intent to steal.
He will face Carnarvon Magistrate’s Court via video link from Greenough Regional Prison on October 23.
