The Arts and Cultural Development Council of Geraldton’s final exhibition of the year officially opened last Thursday night.

Gifted is a cash-and-carry exhibition featuring hundreds of one-of-a-kind art pieces created by ACDC members.

Although there was a small crowd at the launch, artworks were flying off the wall faster than gallery volunteers could replace them. Vice-chairwoman Jackie Gill thanked everyone who had helped throughout the year.

“Everyone has helped put ACDC in a place it hasn’t been in a long time,” she said.

“ACDC isn’t just for artists, but for those that really need a voice. “Let’s keep that voice roaring.” Gifted will be on display until December 22, including during tomorrow night’s Christmas on the Terrace, and will be restocked as pieces are sold. Charmaine Trezona and Di Budge.
