Mural marks school milestone
Students at a small school about 85km north of Geraldton have celebrated the institution’s 60th anniversary by teaming up with a local artist and painting a mural.
Binnu Primary School and Kurrajong Farm Art’s Jenny Passalacqua designed the mural, which depicts themes of community, home and school in the foreground of a Mid West backdrop of blue skies, farms, bush, Hutt River and Murchison River.
Each student also incorporated the number 60 on a canvas with a design and displayed them at the Northampton Show.
According to the WA Education Department, Binnu Primary School caters for 20 students.
Year 6 students Paige Reynolds and Atchea Mallard work on the mural at Binnu Primary School.
Year 4 student Campbell Reynolds with Year 3 student Jai Diepeveen.
Year 4 students Brooke Simkin and April Mallard.
Kindegarten students LeBron Mallard and Pippa Carson.
