Shire of Irwin

The Shire of Irwin will replace sand at Grannies Beach directly in front of a fallen retaining wall while the council consults the community about an appropriate design for a replacement wall. This is expected to make the area fully functional for the peak summer season, with a permanent solution in place before next winter.

Irwin Shire has negotiated with Main Roads WA to open Milo Crossing to larger trucks for the harvest season. Last week, the Shire was successful in implementing a temporary solution through the support of Main Roads WA.
