There’s no right or wrong way to be thinking about your appearance right now, says McMahon. “It is a time where we can build and practise selfcompas­sion about our appearance,” she says. “This means no judgement [and] expecting of ourselves what we would expect of friends. Just staying in the moment rather than getting lost in the possibilit­ies of what might be. And finally, recognisin­g we are all in this together.”
