Rylstone Classic Rally
Minis enjoy classic road rally Down Under
The Rylstone classic Mini rally has become a major event in sunny Sydney, Australia. The fourth annual running of the event was held over two days and took in some amazing roads and breathtaking scenery.
This year 45 Minis were registered. The rally kicked off on Saturday morning in Newcastle, touring down south to collect more cars in Sydney before heading up into the Blue Mountains for lunch. From there, the pack roared through the countryside, heading west to Rylstone for a night of Mini trivia, tasty local food and a beer or two. All in all, it was about five hours of driving.
Rylstone can only be described as stunning; a small one- street town that time forgot. As you can see from the pictures, the town was almost overrun with classic Minis, and the locals loved it as much as the drivers.
“The sound of buzzing A- Series engines was music to our ears,” said Garth Bingley- Pullin, who drove a Cooper on the event. “A big thank you must go to organiser Evan Redmond, who is both a passionate Mini enthusiast and generous host.”
