Classic Minis going under the hammer.
SILVERSTONE AUCTIONS AT THE CLASSIC MOTOR SHOW, NOVEMBER 12.
In addition to Margo’s sale, four more Minis went under the hammer at Silverstone Auctions’ Classic Motor Show sale at the NEC. A low-mileage Mk3 S, lightly tweaked with a rally-inspired look, beat its £22-25,000 estimate by selling for £28,688. A 1964 Austin Countryman ‘Q car’ with a 1330 motor also did well, selling for £17,438. An ex- BMC Parade Moke from 1967 sold for £19,688 against an estimate of £17-2000, but the ex-John Hammel Wood & Pickett MkII S remained unsold.
