EN­GINE A-Se­ries block re­built by ‘Ben­ross’ with plus-0.020-inch cast Omega 10cc dished pis­tons, ARP bolts, MED cen­tre main strap, Avon­bar Phase 2 camshaft, stan­dard crank and rods, ‘Turbo Phil’ cylin­der head, fully ported, larger valves (35.7mm in­let, 29.5mm ex­haust), race guides and springs, in­creased cham­ber vol­ume (8.5:1 com­pres­sion ra­tio), light­weight fly­wheel, GT1725 tur­bocharger on Fu­sion Fab­ri­ca­tions man­i­fold, HIF44 turbo carb with stan­dard plenum cham­ber mod­i­fied for bleed-off valve, Mini Spares two-core alu­minium ra­di­a­tor, small Mo­cal 13-row oil cooler, solid en­gine mounts, Ford RS in­ter­cooler, cus­tom pipework, red sil­i­cone hoses, Me­ga­jolt ECU, mod­i­fied wiring loom, cus­tom cen­tre-exit ex­haust. Power: 140bhp. TRANS­MIS­SION Re­built Four-speed rod-change gear­box with he­li­cal gearset, straight-cut drop gears, cross-pin diff, ‘grey’ pre-Verto clutch di­aphragm with rally clutch plate, KAD in­ter­nal gear link­age. SUS­PEN­SION Re­built and pow­der coated sub­frames, mod­i­fied rear sub­frame to al­low ex­haust to pass through rear valance, Hi-Los, Gaz dampers, red spot rub­ber springs, ad­justable tierods, bot­tom arms and rear cam­ber/track brack­ets, poly bushed all round. BRAKES 8.4-inch disc as­sem­blies with KAD four- pot alu­minium cal­lipers (front), finned alu­minium drums (rear), braided hoses, KAD ad­justable brake bias kit. WHEELS AND TYRES Re­fur­bished Com­po­mo­tive Mo­tor­sport 7x13-inch ‘TH’ wheels in Ford fit­ment, cus­tom-made G23 En­gi­neer­ing PCD adap­tors/spac­ers, 175/50x13 Nankang NS-2R track­day tyres. IN­TE­RIOR Safety De­vices rollcage pow­der-coated metal­lic red, retrimmed Lo­tus Elise seats and match­ing head­lin­ing, Cur­ley car­bon-fi­bre dash and gauge pod, Cur­ley door­cards, four point har­nesses, re­built 1950s Ford speedo, se­lec­tion of other old non-stan­dard gauges, AEM wide­band AFR gauge, wood-rim steer­ing wheel, mod­i­fied TVR in­di­ca­tor stalks.
