Happy birthday, Mini

Mini Magazine - - Letters -

When you clean out a secondhand car you’ve just bought, most people might find a few old coins, or perhaps some cigarette butts. Not me. I recently bought a 1984 metallic green Mini Mayfair as a restoration project, and found a birthday card in it. Not to the owner or another person, but from the owner to their actual car. This thrifty guy obviously wanted his money’s worth as he wished the Mini a happy Christmas and New Year in the same card. At first I was pretty happy about this, as I figured that anyone who takes the time to write a 13th birthday card for their car must’ve really looked after it. On the other hand, some simple mathematics would deduce that the card has been inside the Mini since 1997, so perhaps not! Brayden

Well, Mini shave feeling too ... Has anyone else found anything strange in a Mini they’ve just bought? Let us know!

Happy 13th birthday... to my car!
