What is it? Headspace pro­vides early in­ter­ven­tion men­tal health ser­vices to 12- to 25-year-olds and, along with as­sis­tance in pro­mot­ing young peo­ple's well­be­ing. One in four young peo­ple have ex­pe­ri­enced a men­tal health is­sue in the past 12 months and sui­cide is the lead­ing cause of death of young peo­ple, ac­count­ing for a third of all deaths.

Headspace says do­na­tions help en­sure ev­ery young per­son in Aus­tralia knows that there is help avail­able through its ser­vices, which in­clude Headspace cen­tres that help young peo­ple ac­cess health work­ers and eheadspace, an on­line and tele­phone ser­vice. The De­part­ment of Health funds th­ese ser­vices.

How to do­nate: You can make a one-off con­tri­bu­tion or set up a reg­u­lar do­na­tion at headspace.org.au.
