What is it? Headspace provides early intervention mental health services to 12- to 25-year-olds and, along with assistance in promoting young people's wellbeing. One in four young people have experienced a mental health issue in the past 12 months and suicide is the leading cause of death of young people, accounting for a third of all deaths.
Where your money goes:
Headspace says donations help ensure every young person in Australia knows that there is help available through its services, which include Headspace centres that help young people access health workers and eheadspace, an online and telephone service. The Department of Health funds these services.
