St Ives comes alive with Fes­ti­val

Get out your capes and dust down your su­per pow­ers - it’s time for the an­nual Fes­ti­val on the Green again, and this year’s theme is Su­per­heroes.

This is one of the big­gest fam­ily-friendly events on the an­nual cal­en­dar for the Kur­ing-gai area, at­tract­ing up to 20,000 peo­ple.

This year’s HeroFest at­ten­dees are in­vited to bring our their in­ner hero or vil­lain by dress­ing up as their favourite char­ac­ter to win a prize, as well as meet heroes in­clud­ing Su­per­man, Won­der Woman, Spi­der­man and Bat­man.

The day will also fea­ture com­mu­nity performers, plus food and gen­eral mar­ket stalls, rides, an an­i­mal farm, a Su­per­hero craft workshop, 9D Cin­ema, bouncy cas­tles, and face paint­ing, as well as a per­for­mance by Nick­elodeon Teenage Mu­tant Ninja Tur­tles.
