Mother & Baby (Australia) - - Front Page -

Being a mum is the most challenging and hardest job I‘ve ever had. But it’s also the most rewarding. There’s nothing I love more than snuggling up with my youngest on the couch to watch a couple of episodes of Peppa Pig before his bedtime each night. And since becoming a mum, I’ve also become closer to my own mother. Even though we live thousands of kilometres apart, she’s always at the other end of the phone to offer up advice, provide support or just listen to me vent, especially as I navigate my way through parenting a ‘threenager’.

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this issue we celebrate motherhood, from how the relationship with your own mum may change after baby (see page 64) to beauty tricks to suit your new lifestyle (page 72), plus gift inspiration to leave lying around for your partner (page 70).

Speaking of mums, we’re also looking for our 2016 Mum of the Year. As part of the annual Australian Mother & Baby Magazine Awards, this year’s winner will take home a room makeover valued at $5000, thanks to Babies“R”Us. So if you know a mum who inspires you with her dedication and devotion, turn to page 24.

There’s also plenty of great advice from our team of experts, including our six-page sleep special, starting at page 40, which we guarantee will help your little one sleep through the night (finally); kids’ fashion to suit every style and budget on page 76; and, if you’re in the market for a new set of wheels, don’t miss our pram guide, starting on page 84.

So sit back and enjoy… and happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful mums out there.
