In a warm room, place your naked bub on soft towels. Put your palms on the sides of his face and use your thumbs to stroke a smile on his top, then bottom lip.
With palms on his chest, push your hands out to his sides, following his ribcage as if you’re flattening a book.

Place him on his belly and stroke his back, neck to bottom. Use fingertips to massage either side of his spine.
Place your baby on his back again. Put your hands around the top of one arm, then move them in opposite directions, back and forth from his shoulder to wrist, squeezing gently. Repeat with other arm. Stroke his palms, gently uncurling his fingers. Put both hands around one leg. Move them up and down, turning in opposite directions. Repeat with other leg.
Gently massage the sole of bub’s foot with your thumb, working from heel to toe. Repeat with other foot.
