What really matters?
Researchers from the University of Amsterdam found that regardless of whether children are raised by female same-sex parents or straight parents, their general health and emotional capabilities will be similar. What does matter is whether the family is stable. Lead researchers Henry Bos and Nanette Gartrell say “strong relationships are important contributors to good child outcomes, not whether the parents are same-sex or different-sex”. Male same-sex couples weren’t included in the study because only a small number of households met the selection criteria.
