HEAR ME ROAR!
As your bub grows, it’s important that her diet is rich in iron and essential nutrients including vitamin B12 and zinc for her wellbeing, immunity and healthy growth and brain development.
To incorporate meat into your little one’s meals for her stage of development, try the following tips from the team at www. beefandlamb.com.au.
The ‘Silky Smooth’ stage (six months)
Meat must be tender and moist: try blending a steak with cooked pumpkin and zucchini until smooth.
The ‘Lumpy Mushy’ stage (seven months)
At this age, your baby needs to experience different textures to help develop muscles for chewing and speech. Pulse meals until partially blended and then mash with a fork.
The ‘Finger Food’ stage (eight months)
Your baby’s hand control is improving, so encourage her to feed herself by offering soft finger foods. When cooking a roast or steak for the family, cut the meat into thin strips and serve with roasted vegetables that have been cut into small pieces.
