If you had an extra 15 minutes a day, how would you spend it? A power nap, hot shower or reading a book, perhaps? A recent survey by breastfeeding brand Medela has revealed almost half of all new mums polled would use the extra time in their day to enjoy a hot cup of tea.
Naturopath Lisa Guy says although your moments with bub are always precious, it can be beneficial for your wellbeing to take time for yourself each day to refresh your mind. “Setting aside 10 minutes to practise mindful tea drinking can help busy mums de-stress and feel more grounded,” she says. “It’s a simple way to bring mindfulness into your daily life.” So don’t feel guilty for enjoying a quiet cuppa – it’s doing you more good than you realise.
