If you had an ex­tra 15 min­utes a day, how would you spend it? A power nap, hot shower or read­ing a book, perhaps? A recent sur­vey by breast­feed­ing brand Medela has re­vealed al­most half of all new mums polled would use the ex­tra time in their day to en­joy a hot cup of tea.

Natur­opath Lisa Guy says although your mo­ments with bub are al­ways pre­cious, it can be ben­e­fi­cial for your well­be­ing to take time for your­self each day to re­fresh your mind. “Set­ting aside 10 min­utes to prac­tise mind­ful tea drink­ing can help busy mums de-stress and feel more grounded,” she says. “It’s a sim­ple way to bring mind­ful­ness into your daily life.” So don’t feel guilty for en­joy­ing a quiet cuppa – it’s do­ing you more good than you re­alise.
