From 20 weeks, your baby can hear noises from out­side the womb, and she’ll learn to recog­nise those voices she hears most. So, read­ing a story be­fore you go to sleep ev­ery night is a great way for your part­ner to bond with your grow­ing baby. Re­search shows that new­borns re­act to sounds they heard daily in the last trimester, so en­cour­age Dad to carry on read­ing the story to her once she’s born.
