Read aloud

Mother & Baby (Australia) - - Bedtime Routine -

I hear some mums say, ‘I feel embarrassed reading to my child.’ But you don’t have to be great at reading aloud, just start reading the story and you’ll be fine. You’ll soon get into it, and when your child smiles and giggles, you’ll really start to enjoy it. And if you have a toddler, when he looks over your shoulder to follow the words and pictures in the book, you can’t overstate how good it feels. When your child is excited about what you’re reading, his face is so focused and he’s concentrating; it feels like a magic moment.
