Sling tips for beginners

Mother & Baby (Australia) - - Special Report -

Apart from getting to grips with the sometimes tricky nature of wrapping your bub in your sling, Dave Strachan has a few other helpful tips for parents and caregivers.

Take your baby with you when you go to buy a sling. Make sure you can use the sling safely before you leave the shop.

Have someone help you when you are putting the sling on for the first time.

Your balance will be affected when you wear the sling at first, so be alert to this to avoid falls.

Check the sling on a regular basis to ensure it’s still tight and the child is still visible and safe – be aware that babies can be in difficulty without making any noise or movement.
