EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW AS YOUR LITTLE ONE GROWS AND DEVELOPS
There’s a lot of research out there that suggests that too much time spent with a tablet can be detrimental for your tot’s health. However a new study from Macquarie University along with Toybox Labs has revealed that an iPad isn’t just a simple distraction to give parents some peace and quiet, it can also help identify difficulties with learning and language comprehension, too. Dr Xu Rattanasone from Macquarie University said, “Since more and more young children are using iPads at home, the potential for tablets to be useful language-teaching tools is exciting.” The revolutionary study used eye-tracking technology to examine the way a selection of preschoolers reacted to educational activities on a tablet, which in turn gave insights into the way children digest information from their device. So, in the name of research, a bit of screen time isn’t all that bad it seems!
