Blueberry, banana & quinoa puree
PREP + COOK 15 MINUTES (+ COOLING) • MAKES 1½ CUPS (18 TABLESPOONS) Place 1∕3 cup quinoa in a fine sieve; rinse thoroughly under cold running water. Drain well. Combine quinoa and 2∕3 cup water in a small saucepan; bring to the boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 12 minutes or until liquid is absorbed and quinoa is tender. Cool slightly; blend or process quinoa with 125g fresh blueberries, 1 coarsely chopped medium banana and 1 tablespoon extra water until smooth. Push through a sieve. Give your child as much puree as desired.
